On the farm, unusually dry and warm weather have been welcome after a wet, cold winter. The garden is in and actually growing!! Though it seems the ducks have been "pruning" the peas too much!"Teenage" replacement hens and fryers are growing well. One little henny got through 4 fences to run, frightened, into thick woods. We looked much, put out feed, but as dark came- we gave up,thinking the coyotes would have a tasty snack that night. Next morning -still no sign.36 hours later,as I chatted with a new client from Finland names Tuulia, I heard a strange squeaking outside. To our surprise, there stood the wayward henny. What stories of the wild night woods she must have!?! She was thirsty and hungry, and now has a new name-Tuulia!

In the mill, more wool for Greener Lifetsyles furniture waits for the carder. The wool just kept coming as I enjoyed a week off with family. The hot weather makes washing go fast!

Check out the new "photo gallery" link from the "About Us Page" on our website for seasonal pictures from the farm.
